Here’s how it works:
All teams will register online and fundraise throughout the summer.
On November 28, the top fundraising teams will earn a chance to compete on the main stage at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. All others bands will perform on satellite stages throughout the Convention Centre.
Bands will be judged based on their costumes and stage presence, so be as creative as you want. Name your band, put together costumes or props, make a music video and post it online, choreograph a dance routine. The more creative you are, the better your chance to win prizes! And don’t forget to invite your band's groupies to attend!
Compete in one of three categories:
Rising Stars
Four members, ages 12 and under
$20 registration fee per person
Minimum fundraising of $75 per person
Family Stars
Four related band members
$30 registration fee per person
Minimum fundraising of $150 per person
Shooting Stars
Four members, ages 12 and up
$35 registration fee per person
Minimum fundraising of $175 per person
Prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges to the winning performances in each category as well as to our top fundraiser. Bonus points will be awarded for every dollar that a band raises above the minimum commitment.
All registration fees include admission to Funday Sunday for each band member. Look for the full schedule of bands, including timing and stage location, to be posted in early November. Celebrity judges will also be announced at this time. Let’s get ready to rock!
